Times Are A Changing

Okay so the pictures have nothing to do with what I am going to say in this post. I just thought I would share these adorable pictures of my boys.

A lot is changing right now. Nothing seems huge to someone outside of our little family but to us it seems like so much is changing.
1) My last day of working was June 30th. Without getting into the chaotic work history lets just say after quiting my full time office job 4 years ago I have almost always been babysitting. It is a big change to have just my children to look after.
2) I started college. Okay it was not my official start of college cause I took a few classes before I was married. I am considered full time at the Axia college at University of Phoenix. It is online which is perfect for being a mother of 2 little kids. I have about 2 weeks left of my first two classes.
3) We have a second car now! Since having children and a bit before that, we have only had one car. Jake would sometimes use his Dad's truck but mostly we relied on our little blue Toyota Corolla for all of our transportation. This has not always been easy, especially after 2 children. A couple weeks ago we got a car. Nothing fancy but perfect for us and just having that other mode of transportation and not having to get a ride somewhere is like luxury to us right now.
4) Jake's schedule changed. Instead of working from 11 am to 8 pm he is now working 8 am to 5 pm. This is even more significant when you consider that he has had that schedule since last August. Then before that from August 2008 to last August 2009 he was at his last job at Mattress Firm where his hours were 10 am - 9 pm. These are not long hours necessarily. I realize there are doctors and lawyers out there. But for our little family it meant Jake missing every nighttime. Plus it meant a later dinner and late homework nights this past year with his masters program. As you can see the second car was imperative because there are many appointments related to Brody that we were able to fit in before Jake went to work but now that his schedule is changing we won't be able to do that.

These are the four big changes in the Miller family. They are small changes but effect our everyday lives so much that it makes me feel like, in a way, we have a new life.

Again this post is not for everyone else cause these are little things in our lives that make up each day but I wanted to record somehow these changes that are occurring.
